UGH I am still behind on Doctor Who so that is why I have not read/commented on anyone's finale posts. I didn't want to watch the episodes without Tim and Sylvia so it keeps getting postponed because we had the Paramore concert last weekend and this weekend is a birthday party and my Arrested Development party.
And the whole Amazon fan-fiction thing...I agree with everyone else who commented with a WTF No. Bad idea on so many levels.
I also have feels about the Xbox One that I need to post. Short version: I like that I can shout "Xbox on!" and it will turn on but don't trust this DRM crap that won't let me lend a friend a game. I'm thinking if the previous two Xboxes are any sort of guage, it's safer to wait to buy an Xbox One a year after it has been out so they can work out the bugs (it's Microsoft, there will be bugs)
Finished 'Justified' Season 2 today. WOW. I am no freakin' clue what Season 3 will bring...no clue at all.
Allergies are kicking my butt. It felt like it was 90 today because of humidity and the yellow pollen dust on everything was making breathing hard for everyone. My throat has been sore all week. I do not like this getting older and my body changing thing. It could stop now.
Tried to export my Blogger blog to Wordpress but all it did was take the post titles and none of the content. Blurgh. Luckily, it was not a huge blog. It is my librarian blog which right now is just storytime titles and a few scattered rants. I'm going to have to go through and copy+paste the HTML but I don't mind. Blogger is just *so* clunky. Plus I like that people can subscribe via email on Wordpress without having to have a Wordpress account.
We watched 'Willow' on blu-ray last night. I still love that movie. It's definitely protected by a bubble of nostalgia, because it has some clear flaws but...MY CHILDHOOD! We watched the special features aferwards and they had the original "making of" special that aired on TV back in 1988...do they even make those sorts of things anymore to air on regular TV? I sorta miss the 80s and being excited about movies that way. It gave me feels to listen to Dennis Muren talk about "morphing" for the first time. I so wanted to go into special effects work...but with my track record I probably would have gone into stop-motion and been in a lot of trouble right now LOL.
Okay, going to pass out now. SO TIRED! TTYL

"I stole a baby while you where taking a pee-pee!"
OH GOD MY CHILDHOOD. Is Willow on Netflix? Please be on Netflix..
UNAVAILABLE? WHAT IS THIS???
I will torrent this movie if I have to. I am watching it. Probably tomorrow because I am so damn tired right now -- BUT I'M WATCHING IT.
Also, allergies really suck. I feel your pain. <3

I posted I was watching and my mom immediately responded with her favorite quote: "You 'dwell in darkness without me' and it went away?!?"

Madmartigan was my one true love until I was about 12.
I didn't realize one of the bad guys was named 'Kael' until I read the book when I was in my 20s. I had no idea! But it ties my son into one of my ALL TIME favorite movies so it's all okay. :D
(Ignore my Anon comment, I didn't realize I wasn't logged in because I am a special kind of ninny)

When I was a kid, I though Kael was Skeletor...wasn't until a few viewings in that I realized that was a mask and not his face.

Yeah, the movie has flaws, and you can totally see Lucas cribbing from LotR even more now that LotR has been made into a film. BUT it's hard to deny the charm of the movie. Some movies I go back to from my childhood and regret watching again, Willow is not one of them because Ron Howard really did a fantastic job directing and editing it all together, the flawed parts movie by quickly. :)
