Into the Woods featurette: Now with some teeny tiny bit of singing!

[when I'm not blogging about video games, apparently I blog about Into the Woods. Won't you be happy once this movie comes out and I've seen it and can stop panicking about them screwing up my childhood??]

So the movie comes out in December and we STILL don't have a proper trailer. This featurette did surface today, which has a tiny bit of singing in it. Streep might be able to pull it off...

Thank goodness they're not pretending it isn't a musical anymore. Hopefully they'll stop that in the trailers, too!

I am glad you linked this, because now I am cautiously optimistic. I think it's definitely going to look AMAZING, and if Sondheim himself is saying they cast all the right people, I will give the Streep the benefit of the Last Midnight doubt.

I am actually really really exciiiiiiiited about Anna Keeeeendrick!

Cautiously optimistic is my zone too. Mostly eyeing up Streep and Depp at this point, but feeling better about Streep. I like Johnny Depp but I feel like over the last few years he's almost become a caricature of himself? I dunno, I'm hoping he can pull this off, even if it is only a small part of the play.

I have had a girl!crush on Anna Kendrick since I saw "Up in the Air" so, yeah, totally fine with her playing Cinderella (and Chris Pine was brilliant casting, even if I'm not so sure about that totally unnecessary accent)
