i hate phones
Ugh, I just tried to call the library to see if I could get in on the next set of interviews coming up, since it appears I didn't get the job this time. I hate calling people. Especially uninvited calls. I get so worked up about what I want to say and how not to sound stupid. I dialed the number and got a busy signal which was like "wha?". I finally got through but no one was at the desk so I got to leave a voice mail message. *sigh*. Ah well, I left a message so I guess the ball is in there court now, right?
We had breakfast for dinner last night. Waffles, bacon, eggs, hash browns - the works. Actually ate it all too! We watched "Angel" while we ate. "That Old Gang of Mine" from season 3. Gunn intensive episode. Very tense episode. Made me upset that Wesley/Fred didn't happen in season 3. I can't believe she went out with Gunn! Ack! Lots of foreshadowing too, I mean, look at this:
Wesley: "It's never easy - the pull of divided loyalties. - Whatever choice we do end up making we feel as though we've betrayed someone."
Gunn: "Yeah."
Wesley: "If you ever withhold information or attempt to subvert me again, I will fire you. - I can't have any one member of the team compromising the safety of the group, no matter who it is. If you do it again you will be dismissed, bag and baggage, out of a job onto the streets."
I love re-watching these shows, so much going on. "Divided loyalties", ah Wezzles, if you only *knew* what was coming down the road.

sw_awards!! For some strange reason, I've been obsessed with Natalie Portman/Padme icons this week. I don't really know why. Perhaps it's because my Leia cappage is so low, and Hayden's jedi robes are not very exciting, so I just default to Natalie. I made this icon yesterday:
It was more of an experiment than anything. The text are all the gawd-awful love quotes from AOTC. I wanted to text to be visible and semi-readable, but I figure if you know the movie and you see one or two lines from it, you'll figure out the rest of them. I couldn't quite get the words to fade in/out the way I wanted them to, but ah well. Gotta try.
Oh, and I made one of Pippin too!
Before I sent ROTK back to Netflix, I took a few random caps from scenes that stood out (yes, I can't even watch movies anymore without thinking "oooh that'd make a nice icon!" definition of addict?) I had the soundtrack on at the time and I could not think of a freakin' caption, then his little song came on and I was like "Fine fine, how about "mist and shadow". I'm really just trying to figure out the whole textures thing.
We got the Aqua Teen Hunger Force DVD in the mail yesterday, so you can guess what kind of icons will be coming soon. hehe.
Anyhoo, we're driving up to New Jersey today to hang out with AD's parents and go see the Rockwell Church concert. I've got my mini-disc all ready to go. AD's mom said she'd make sushi one night! Maybe get lobster or mussels on another. We'll have to see. We haven't been up there in ages, I'm itching for a road trip, even if it only lasts 2 1/2 hours.
