I am really loving the single-session games, like this one. The time commitment for D&D overwhelms me and as much as I like the idea of growing a character and story arc etc, it's just so much easier to find a single day and get together, play a game, and be done and not worry that we can't meet up again anytime soon.
Also, I am slowly collecting a lot of GM-less games because, again, that's a BIG job for someone to take on so to have a game with a deck of cards that acts as the GM is far more appealing to me.
I will write about it soon but 'For the Queen' is a fantastic, single-session, GM-less game. Pretty cheap too, $20.
