My copy of Buffy s8 "The Long Way Home, Part II" arrived today.



Another successful "episode". I can almost see Joss in my mind, hunched over his desk, cackling with glee as he sets up this plot.

I was very happy to see Giles, even if it was just for a page. At least we know he's okay and still actively fighting evil. And having tea. And Andrew? OMG that made me giggle with fangirl glee. His whole "Lando's outfit blew the reality of Star Wars" for me just cracked me up.

The dream sequence - anyone else have a heart attack when she smooched Xander? I was like "WTF??" but rereading it with the knowledge that it's a nightmare, it makes a lot more sense...("this lint is so scottish" is going to be my away message for awhile...)

Xander's pajamas are love.

Anyone with a scanner that is not in a weird position (mine is crammed on top of my computer on a shelf, which makes it *unsafe* for my precious buffy comics) going to scan the pages for graphics? I'd love in on that. I want to make pretties!

Do you think she and Xander have done the wacky? I know its a dream but the way she alludes to a previous encounter makes me feel fairly certain that they have, but only once. I so don't want them to get together, not because I dislike either character, but because I feel they work as friends.

And so happy about the Andrew comments on Star Wars, especially as I read this issue in the week before I got to meet Billy Dee Williams! :D

WILLOW!!! I CAN'T WAIT for the next one! This is such fun, and although I'd much rather have the t.v series back, its fabulous to have Buffy back in comic book form :).

Oh yes, I'd rather see the TV series again, but it's almost easier for Joss to do the comic - no fighting over when actors or actresses are free (and has anyone heard is the SMG pregnancy rumor is true?? that could crimp buffy's style in a BIG way).

Good questions about Buffy & Xander. I really hope they never did anything but that line was in there about "last time". But, like you, I prefer to see them as best buddies (or as brother and sister really, because Xander really became that for Buffy and Dawn).

And I have so much geek love for Andrew. I hope things turn out well for him.

Willow *squee*!!!! I hope she tells us about how she and Kennedy had a a huge fight and she turned her into a newt but then got better....

I can see the comics involve lots of benefits such as ; no-one will age faster than their character, I can imagine Joss has more creative control & can take things wherever he likes without blowing the budget e.t.c. I hadn't heard the SMG pregnancy rumor, though I must say though I keep tabs on many of the Whedonverse actors she's not really one of them. Great actress, but as a person she doesn't really interest me.

And yes Xander/Buffy/Willow/Dawn are family (as was Tara *Sniff*).

Yes I hope to Gods Willow has broken up with Kennedy. And not just 'cos I loved Tara (and Oz) , but because I disliked Kennedy & I felt they never had any chemistry. It kind of felt like 'hi I am gay' 'oh i am gay also. Lets make-out' :/
