Golden Compass

I started listening to 'Golden Compass' yesterday. I'm up to chapter 5, I believe. The book is narrated by Philip Pullman, but they have extra voices for the characters. It's sort of weird, but it works.

I just watched the Trailer and the new Preview from Comic Con (which shows pretty much all the stuff I have read so far, so that was cool!) I hope this movie is good. I can't wait to read the other two books and get to the more controversial subjects haha.

Oh, and I took the little "Meet your Daemon" test on the site. Below the cut are my results but then it has a questionaire for my friends to answer to see if I got the right Daemon!

i'm reading Golden Compass, too! i took a break to read Deathly Hallows, but I'm almost done Golden Compass and gonna finish the trilogy. have you read it before and just now listening to it on audio?

a friend recommended the books to me, and it was before it started getting all this hype about the movie and everything, it's kind of crazy how much attention it's gettnig...i was surprised.

anyway so don't give out any spoilers on your LJ!

also been meaning to email you to talk about Deathly hallows!

this is my first time experiencing it in any form. I tried to read it before but it was lost in a sea of Young Adult books I was trying to read. Now with the movie coming out soon, I figured I better know it a little bit! Lots of my friends have read it and seemed to really enjoy it.

I promise, any and all spoilers I will hide! :)
