bionic woman (or 50 million dollar woman?)

Just finished watching the new 'Bionic Woman'. Did the pilot seem a little clunky to anyone else? Like there might be...oh, another hours worth of story lying around somewhere? Things we will never know until the DVD comes out.

I'll definitely tune in for a few more episodes, if only for sexy Starbuck Katee Sackhoff.

Her character already reminds me of Faith on BtVS. Same powers, clearly knows how to use them, and probably has a little bit of a god complex. The question is, will Jaimie merely destroy her and move on, or will there be an attempt to rehabilitate her. My theory - they will tell Jaimie she has to kill Sarah, and Jaimie will want to if her boyfriend is, in fact, dead. But as the season goes on, she will connect with Sarah and let her go at the end of the season. OR Sarah will sacrifice herself and prove that she is good now but, of course, die.

Either way, I want to see Katee in every episode!! Get my fix until BSG comes back.

Did you see the original promo?

I liked the idea of a deaf sister, but I guess it was too edgy for Hollywood. Thbbt. I also think your predictions are probably good, considering how the creators have already shied away from the difficult.

Hm...interesting. I wonder why they decided to cut the sister (who I know as Anne from Arrested Development...and the actress is not deaf). This explains why the show might have been so clunky though, must have been a lot more story that was not reshot due to time. Because its clear they didn't make the decision until pretty late in the shoot!

I mean, I could see her being deaf and having this whole plotline where Jaimie wants to give her a Bionic Ear...or something. Seems like it might have been a lot of trouble. Or maybe they think she should get an implant and she doesnt' want one.

But ugh, the new sister is so annoying!!!! She's like Dawn on crack. At least Dawn was 15, this girl is clearly older.

...And Dawn was awfully annoying all on her own, even w/o crack. I don't like the sister at all either.

When I saw her I was like 'hahaha bionic starbuck!' and not cause I was BSG, but because of your starbuck love. haha. XD

Yeah I really, really, really don't like the sister, but I enjoyed it. Being a pilot they are all a little....clunky in places, really. I think (and hope) that they will find their stride quickly. After all...it's hard to get used to running on those bionic legs.... haha.

*not cause I was a BSG fan* that should say. lol. I've never watched BSG. lol.

well, after seeing the original preview that [livejournal.com profile] cheshire_c posted in the comments, I understand the choppiness a bit more! Wonder how last minute all those "new sister" cuts were...

Yeah, I actually kind of liked it...or at the very least, am willing to cut it some slack at this point since pilots are prone to all sorts of plot/character problems.

Though really, I'm probably just watching it for the BSG fix. Not only do we have Katee, but it looks like David Eick is trying to give as many of his BSG peeps some lovin' as he possibly can. Fingers crossed that more besides Aaron Douglas and Mark Sheppard make the jump!

Yes, I was like "OMG is that Chief!" when I saw him at the bar. Odd little bit part of him but still, yay Chief! The more BSG fix the merrier.
