The standalone aspects of each episode don't do anything for me, and takes me back to the initial episodes of Angel before Joss realised that we wanted to see more the group dramatic as opposed to a creature feature of the week.

I'm with collswan on the whole Mellie being a doll thing. No one cooks that much unless programmed to do so -dies-

I can't wait for this week's episode as both Eliza and Joss have been pitching episode six as the episode when the show really comes alive :-)
