COMMUITY SAVED!

I'm sure you've seen this by now but just in case you haven't::

Yahoo has picked up COMMUNITY for a SIXTH SEASON!!!!!!!!

I had given up hope. I didn't even know YAHOO had such a service. I just hope the quality of this season is just as good as last season and not another "gas leak year". But it sounds like the core cast and Harmon will be there.

**dances**

I'm so happy about this. I love Community.

Me too! I loved Season 5, it was so great to laugh out loud again. Definitely one of my all time favorite series.

I've always felt Community would've fared better online, honestly. At least once it was clear it wasn't really a "typical" sitcom anymore.

I do miss Troy, though. Pierce... eh, he should've just been killed off for real seasons ago. His character went from being the gross but surprisingly wise upper-middle aged man to being Dan Harmon's punching bag (or rather, his actor). That was the whole problem imho.

Chase and Harmon's relationship off camera was definitely an issue though listening to the commentaries on episodes, it doesn't sound like Chevy ingratiated himself with any of the other cast. He just never seemed to get it. Even when he was at comic con, he seemed almost annoyed (and reading Steve Martin's bio also made me think he is a bit of an ass - not that Harmon is innocent, but yeah).

I miss Troy too and I think Harmon really wishes he would come back. But I'd rather have a show without Troy than no show at all. I really only need this sixth season to be satisfied. Here's hoping that they can avoid going too far since no network execs/censors will be there to reign them in.

Yeah, from what I've heard Chevy Chase was always a bit of a reluctant cast member - makes me wonder how he got there in the first place. And like you said, it's not that Dan Harmon's 100% innocent, he's a self-confessed combination of Abed and Jeff which I can imagine makes him very difficult to work with at times, but I feel a lot of it probably came from Chevy Chase himself.

I'm looking forward to the sixth season. :) And maybe with Troy and Pierce gone they can also build on some of the other characters a bit more? I feel like last season was really dealing with the mess that was the fourth PLUS the departure of Pierce and Troy, now they have more foot room for a more natural fresh start.

lets get this gif party started

I did not see that coming.

Wow, seriously?! Hahah, I was not expecting this at all, this is great news!

I have absolutely never heard of Yahoo Screen, though. I wonder if it is even available here <,<;;

I had no idea Yahoo had a YahooTV program... but they'll have my business while they air Community :)

All shows should move to the internet tbh, and Community is such a perfect one to do that. :D Except if it's STILL impossible to legally watch it outside of the US. Then I take it back. :]

I feel like network and cable channels really need to re-evaluate how they do programming. It looks like Nickelodeon is already working on this, having announced that the rest of this season of Legend of Korra will be online only. They are realizing that anyone over a certain age is more likely to watch shows streaming than during a set time because everyone is so busy! Appointment TV is a thing of the past.

And they need to get the damn distribution rights figured out from the get-go. Not having simultaneous releases only encourages pirating!
