Oh I am LOVING IT!

Also I just googled and it looks like the Xbox 360 has a Yahoo! Screen app so I think I can watch it on the TV like a proper show. :D

Yahoo has picked up COMMUNITY for a SIXTH SEASON!!!!!!!!



I had given up hope. I didn't even know YAHOO had such a service. I just hope the quality of this season is just as good as last season and not another "gas leak year". But it sounds like the core cast and Harmon will be there.

More thoughts on the Community premiere posted to my Wordpress blog (yeah yeah I know I said I was keeping my social sites limited but I like this blog and have a small community of peeps on there now so I can't give it up).

Played with my User Info today and tried to spruce it up a little. Not sure how I feel about it...the previous version wasn't loading in Chrome correctly, I couldn't scroll to the right, so I picked a vertical layout. Need to go back and add more things to all the little lists, but I wanted to make sure it was formatted correctly first before I really got into that.

Next up is I need to change my layout because I've had the same one for a year. I do love it, it is probably one of my favorite layouts ever, but out with the old and in with the new. It's a very SERIOUS layout, I feel like my next one should be something funny...perhaps Adventure Time related. I shall figure it out.

Still haven't watched Sherlock. SHhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Tomorrow is the Green Bay Packers game in the afternoon and maybedeadcat is throwing a mini-shindig here. Sylvia made me a Packers colored bracelet on her rainbow loom that she got for Christmas and I washed my dark green shirt so I'm all set. I am hoping I can finagle some hot wings in with the pizza purchase for dinner because I kinda love hot wings.

OH! I was soooooo bad and I ordered a box of wine from NakedWines.com. I got a coupon code with something I ordered over Christmas and I was like "what the heck! I love wine!" and placed an order. Which is sort of hilarious now because we have SO MUCH BOOZE from New Year's in the kitchen. I'm looking forward to trying the wines though, they are all from small wineries, some flavors I haven't had in awhile anyway. Should be fun. I'll have to blog about the wines...even though I don't really have the language to discuss wine beyond "it's red!" and "mmmmm tasty!" or "eeeeew gross!" but what more do you need to know?

And as it's almost midnight, I think I shall go curl up in bed with my iPad and a book and see which one I fall asleep with first...

Posted on my other blog (I have so many LOL) about the Community renewal. Thoughts?

• Doctor Who: Not really happy with this season so far, but I have not watched Power of Three yet which is kind of the episode I've been waiting for. Sorta wish they had started with it, but maybe it will somehow make the first 3 clunkers better. I'm looking forward to the new companion. I loved Amy & Rory but...well, it's nice to have two companions who actually WANT to get on with their lives instead of pining for the Doctor. I think that is what annoyed me the most with Rose, Martha, and Donna was how obsessed they became with the Doctor. But he does need a companioin. And I thought Jenna-Louise Coleman was adorable in the "Asylum of the Daleks" episode!


• Teen Wolf: Started this last night and I'm hooked. It's actually a lot better than I expected, especially since it's on MTV. I checked the DVD out from the library but I just checked and it is up on Hulu...so now I don't have the pressure to watch all 12 episodes in 7 days. I like that the main actor isn't classically pretty. He's got a little mole thing on his chin. I think this makes him cuter than the stock pretty-boys, gives him more character.


• Grimm: Season 2 has been awesome, I like it a lot more than Season 1. NOW WHEN THE FRAK DOES IT COME BACK??


• Raising Hope: Just watched the Season 3 premiere on Hulu. So great. I love this shows heart. It's got some immature humor and can be so wrong at times, but it's "morals" are sorta heart-warming. I was hesitant when I saw the plot start to unfold for s3 but by the end of the episode, I was tearing up (or I would have been if my internet wasn't being wonky and making the damn show buffer every few minutes ARGH! Can't tell if it was Hulu or my provider...but I digress.

Waiting anxiously for the return of Community and Happy Endings and the start of the final season (*wipes tear*) of 30 Rock.

Curious about Arrow but mostly because John Barrowman talked about it at D*C. Not sure what to think of Beauty & the Beast except that it will be full of pretty because I've always thought that Kristen Kreuk is gorgeous.

Cautious when it comes to Revolution. I'll wait to see what people are saying after it's been on for a month or so. Anyone have any compelling arguments for why I should watch right now?

Debating if I want to even watch Walking Dead. maybedeadcat said he will watch it so I might just watch by default. I dunno, sorta over it. I hate everyone on that show. Something needs to happen for me to give a crap.

-- Civ 5 has totally sucked away my life. I played with Alan on Thursday and I was up until 1am, then did the same thing Saturday night with Tim - there really is no such thing as a "quick" game, especially once you get lots of units on the board. I tried to play solo today but rolled India as my Civ and ended up with the Indians, Russians, and Americans on my continent and they ALL declared war on me at the same time. :\ Not going to go back to that save any time soon.

-- Watched the new episode of Community and loved it! I'm so happy they sort of got rid of the relationship stuff that was in the finale. I know I had a panic attack when that last episode aired and what it meant for where the show was going. But they handled it well. Also, all the jabs at 'Sh*t my Dad Says' had me LOL'ing. Betty White was cute but I'm happy it was just for an episode. And Senior Chang, I'm so HAPPY you're still with the show.

-- Watched 30 Rock too, and all of the Matt Damon scenes had me laughing. And Jack flirting with James ("Not Jim, not Jimmy - James") had me cracking up. "She's your pube shirt" is just too good of a line to let go.

-- Watched Running Wilde in it's entirety today and it was okay. Not sure how it's going to get beyond the initial episode. Cute idea though. Raising Hope was funnier...now what day of the week were those on??? I need to set up the DVR. Must have been Tuesday, right?

-- Amazing Race started up again tonight! I didn't even know until Becky IM'd me looking for me (we live chat during the show). I'm calling the birth-mom/daughter team "Team Awkward". I like "Team Glee" but those boys are too nice and are going to fall behind if they keep stopping to to check on everyone. The two Home Shopping girls crack me up because the one is a total spazz. Also the little southern girl, Mallory, she's too cute. We're already rooting against the "newly dating" couple because she is WAY too good for him. We just hope she realizes it. The tattooed couple scare me, they are just very dumb.

-- I'm addicted to GetGlue. Got my stickers in the mail this week, trying to decide what to stick them too. If it wasn't on my iPhone, I probably wouldn't use it as much but the face that I can quickly "check in" my activity amuses me.

Anyway, I should probably get to bed. Going to the AskUsNow! interview tomorrow which is in Towson, so that's at least an hour drive IF I don't get lost...so I'm thinking I'll give myself 90 minutes to get there and just bring a book to kill the time. I'm hoping that I can convince them that I could pick up Drupal pretty quick since that was the only thing I had no experience with on the application - but I've heard of it and have a very general idea about what it is.

So as not to be a broken record, since both Day 2 and Day 3 are the same show for me, I figure I'll just do them together. I work late tomorrow anyway so we'll just assume my lazy butt won't bother to update this meme after getting home.

I heart this show so much. The comedy is just my kind of comedy. Every joke has a meta-joke that is a reference to some random tv show or movie or something. I love Troy and Abed and their relationship. I love Annie and her very ordered way of life (AD says she reminds him of me...). I adore Jeff and Britta's snarkfests. And Pierce's total cluelessness. And Shirley's sweetness (with all that toughness just under the surface). And let's not forget Senor Chang! And the Dean! Oh it's just a great show.

It reminds me of Arrested Development, which is probably why I fear for it's life. There is no annoying laugh track tell people when to laugh. The jokes range from people falling down to social commentary humor to random John Hughes references. The plot for each show is like something out of an 80s movies and they KNOW this and they work that angle to make it hilarious.

And while everyone I know ONLINE is watching it, it seems very few people I know in the real world (no offense guys) is actually watching it. But it did get picked up for a second season and even though CBS is trying to start some shiznit by moving Big Bang Theory to Thursday nights, if they make me choose, I will choose Community (but I won't have to because I have a DVR so there :P CBS).
