Rose minifig and Kylo Ren's ship!
You know, I will never argue that 'Last Jedi' was a perfect movie - it was not. It was far too long, needed a lot of tightening up in some of the plot lines. BUT I never had a problem with Rose and I really liked what they were doing with her and Finn up to a point (because omg that whole plot line got out of hand, where was the editor? And was the editor related to Benicio and just didn't want to take him out of the movie? Because he was unnecessary on so many levels).
Anyway, I was happy to see this minifig! Yay Rose!
And Kylo's ship is cool too. I always had a soft spot for it because the design was clearly inspired by the Imperial shuttle from RotJ. Something about those big, ridiculous wings raising and lowering. Again, there is a reason Star Wars is considered fantasy and not sci-fi - pretty sure this ship makes no sense.

Anyway, do spaceships even need wings? They must be purely decorative.
Random thought: "Last Jedi" is up on Netflix again, which surprised me because I thought Disney was hoarding all their stuff on their new streaming widget now. Maybe it's only for new releases?

The one thing he does is show how war works. Ie, profiteering, etc. But why? Why can't we just have our fantasy in our fantasy? (Yes, Star Wars is 100% fantasy, not sci-fi.) Why can't the good guys be good guys and there not be all this grimdark and realism and...I dunno. I like my heroes starry-eyed and full of wonder.
I am pro rather than against TLJ, but honestly, I've gotten to where everything other than the OT is essentially fanfic to me. I can take it or leave it*. Most of it is enjoyable, but I don't have to have it. It's just unnecessary. Just my two cents.
Anyway...hi!
Also: Rose is the bomb, Kylo's ship is silly but pretty, and...
*Except for Rogue One.

EDIT: Found my Rogue One post. It's more positive than I remember.
LOL I just had the whole fantasy conversation with someone on here HAHA! **nerd fistbump**
I didn't mind the whole shades of gray and bringing some more complications into the universe, it's what I loved about the movie. BUT I did feel like DJ's character was just there to show up and point at it was like "Yeah, dude, we just covered ALL of this with the casino planet, why are you even here? You are unnecessary to moving this story forward and just kind of obnoxious." He just slowed everything down with his random weirdness, Rose had already explained to Finn how things were, DJ was just there to betray them and I feel like that could easily have been replaced with a simple tracking device and tractor beam.
