Doctor Who? Why?
Finally watched the last two episodes of this season of Doctor Who.
I am disappoint.
I feel like the writers dropped the ball on what could have been an epic episode but mostly became sorta...meh.
**sigh** I need to just realize that nothing will ever be as well done as Series 5.
More thoughts later, when it's not 12:30 and I don't have to work the next morning.
And then I'll go tag hunting to find everyone else's reaction posts
(or you can just be super-helpful and post links in the comments...then I can read them at work tomorrow...because when I work on Saturdays, I hardly ever feel like doing work...)

Now we only have to wait until November to get the second half...

My reaction post to the last episode is here, but I'm planning to do a proper review still. I'm only up to "The Bells of Saint John" in my 7b reviews, so just watch my feed if you want ALL my thoughts on it.
I liked "Nightmare in Silver" a lot, but "Name of the Doctor" was like being gut-punched right in the feels and the logic sensors at the same time.

I have a sense that Moffat does that a lot, crowbars plotlines in order to achieve feels. It works on me sometimes even though I can tell what he's doing. Makes my shipper heart go pitter-pat, but I resent it from a purely storytelling point of view.

Also - Matt says he's leaving the role of Doctor as of the Christmas episode. Maybe David is coming back or perhaps finally a ginger?

But yeah, I feel like Clara never got there either. She had all the right bits - cute, funny, snarky, smart...but her story never clicked all the way to make her as interesting to us as the Doctor found her.

But it was definitely a feeling of "meh"
