Oh, I think a LOT of you will appreciate this one (actually, everyone will appreciate it for at least a few seconds when a familiar logo appears on screen)

And good news/bad news: I went to Target to get the album and they were SOLD OUT! I KNOW! I'm not the only Close Personal Friend of Al (that was the name of his fan club in the 90s) in the area! Who knew? So while I'm happy for Al that the album sold out, I was sad I have to wait. I ordered it from Amazon and it should be in my hands by Thursday. AND it looks like you can stream it all on SPOTIFY! So at least I can listen to it. Plus we still have 6 more videos to come this week. :D

Al has said this will be his last full-length album release. From now on, he's going the internet-only route, which makes sense in today's world of YouTube and mp3 downloads. He can get those parodies out faster knowing that he's not tied to a record label that needs an album every two years. This was the last one for his contract. As I enjoy following him on Instagram, I know he's constantly funny, so I have no doubts that we will get some great, goofy songs for a long while now.

That was hilarious. :) Although I have to admit to being guilty of a few of those word crimes myself.

HOLY SHIT! This is the best one that Weird Al has done in a while. That's probably just my English Self talking. But I loved it.

I was a huge Weird Al fan when I was younger, I still find him funny and love his songs. Haven't got a CD of his in a while. Might have to get this one since I LOATHE most of today's music.

I LOVE THIS VIDEO :D I wasn't too keen on the first one but this one is made for everyone. So true. I've never bought his albums but I do love his songs.

Oooh! You mean I can have the earworm of the music, without the misogyny and rape-apology-ness?

It's too bad you have to wait but a great sign for Al for this albums to sell out in store. I think this rarely happens anymore in the age of internet.

Oh, I know I've committed some word crimes now and then (lol and your icon is making me think of the episode when Moss is in jail and talking to the kids about how to stay out of trouble...I feel like Moss would feel guilt over something like word crimes)

Yes, I know all my English major friends would enjoy this one. :)

You should pick this one up, it's going to be his last CD release. After this, it will probably all be videos and downloadable mp3s. He is one of the few people I will drop everything and buy the CD for.

Isn't it? There's not enough songs with the word "nomenclature" in them.

I think "Happy" is just an awful song anyway so even parodying it doesn't make it better lol. But this one is so perfect, especially for us writing geeks. :)

I was reading an online article the other day on CNN and it said someone was literally living in their father's shadow. I was like NO NO NO NOT POSSIBLE! Unless their father constantly followed them around ALL THE TIME and stood at the correct angle, that is NOT true. UGH. I hate how abused that word is.

As an English major and former editor/proofreader I utterly loved this video--husband and I watched it together just an hour or so before I read this post. He's not even a Weird Al fan and enjoyed it.

I was never officially a Close Personal Friend, but have been in my heart since
"Eat It."

Oh, I LOVED this one!! One of my pet peeves is when people say, "I could care less." UGH. Lol. Sorry, the English major in me is escaping. :P

LOL and Happy is my go to song to cheer me up and get me dancing~ xD I just didn't like the auto-tune in Tacky. It is cute though.
