In Wisconsin

Hey all

Just did a speed read of the flist on my iPad while sitting on the couch. So far, the Wisconsin trip has been good, more activities were planned and less Fox News on (though I still hear some pretty awful comments...but it has been much less.)

They did invite me to go to a shooting range on Monday. I'm not really into guns, but I told Tim I would try it once.

We just watched Ex Machina which we even better than I expected.

Oh and the air mattress has been fine but for so,e weird reason they have 5 active, chiming clocks that wake me up constantly. Not sure how they can stand it. It's so hard to hear the tv when they all go off. Blah.

Anyhow, brunch tomorrow and I get to meet two of Tim's cousins so more family. He has a lot of it.

Off to bed now. Feels early but these days are long.

I would go to the shooting range :-) Its a lot of fun! When I usually shoot guns, I imagine the target as a head of someone that I don't care for and that helps me get the target most of the time. I know that sounds bad, but it helps!

And yay for no Fox News. I hate Fox news myself. Its awful. Can't stand it.

I've always wanted to go to a shooting range, if nothing else than to learn about the differences of the types of guns and how to shoot them. I know how to hold one, thanks to one of my uncles who was a Marine and had a little teaching lesson about the proper way of handling at least a handgun.

I have yet to see Ex Machina, but from everyone else I have heard how good it is.

I find air mattresses odd for me. I've used them plenty of times when visiting relatives, but I don't often get a good night's rest because of it.

I love shooting ranges! Think of it as like a video game, but it's real :)

Some blog I was reading had a list of "things I can now say I'm too old for", and other people added to the list in the comments. And almost everyone agreed on "sleep on someone's floor" with many adding "or anything that's not a bed". I might have considered a hotel.. surely there's an Econo Lodge or something nearby?

Ex Machina really disturbed me when I watched it. It's great but eerie.

I grew up in a house with one chiming clock. It drove visitors nuts but I never heard it in a way that bothered me. I expect it's the same with five (even though that seems excessive to me) and they just don't hear it in the same way everyone else does.
