TV - you can be so cruel
Aug. 31st, 2004 11:50 pmSo we got done watching a Quantum Leap DVD around 9:00 and I thought, eh, an hour until amazing race, I'll just flip thru the channels. So I go to NBC and there's this CGI-animated show on called "Father of the Pride". I leave it on as it's the premiere episode, the animation is pretty good, and there were som funny moments. I click to see how long it is and lo-and-behold, I see that the Scrubs season premiere is next! Yay! I haven't seen Scrubs in forever. So I watch that and it's hi-larious. And I'm giddy with the enjoyment of Zach Braff goofiness and Heather Graham not being annoying. But my happiness is soon DESTROYED by.....duh dum DUM!....the Replublicans!!!!
Yes, I flip over to watch Amazing Race on CBS, only to find that they ran it EARLY and are running the Republican Convention instead! I am sooooo MAD! AD looked it up though, and they are re-running the Race on Saturday....so I'll have to wait until then to find out who suffers the hair-cutting fast forwards. *sigh*
So, since I was so pissed at the TV, I put on another DVD. I was supposed to get ATHF, but instead MST3K showed up. So since AD was working on the computer, I popped it in and not only was it one of the episodes I hadn't seen, it was really really funny! I almost fell off the couch I was laughing so hard. The movie was awful but the jibes were hilarious. And any space movie that thinks it can get away with putting cardboard car cut outs over golf carts deserves to be laughed at.
Yeah, so my bitterness is fading. But I am waaaaaaay sleepy after watching the kiddos today. Plus I have to get up butt early for a super-long Limited day tomorrow (there's no way they will really keep me from 9:30-6, is there???) Ugh, I need a job I semi-enjoy! Hurry up OCTOBER!

ps. I've moved! The new place is great, but the T is right outside my window and it's so loud! And I'm further away from my favorite coffee shop :-( Other than that, all is good (well, there's the salmon pink bathroom fixtures and kitchen counter..)
