orangerfulI posted my radio drama icons and dead like me icons this evening. I've had a few responses to the SW set, which makes me very happy. I've really enjoyed working on those. And I'm so addicted to the radio drama right now, I've been listening to them on the way to work all week. Just so damn good.
We watched the rest of ESB. noticed a couple for brand new things - the Emperor is now Ian McDiarmid (oh that cannot be spelled right) instead of whoever it was in the original movie. Doesn't bother me much, I mean, Ian plays him in RotJ so makes sense to fix that. Not so sure how I feel about his new line "He is the son of Anakin Skywalker". I guess that's the first mention of Anakin's name right? Can't quite remember if it was ever mentioned in New Hope, I really don't think so.
Other big change, at least to my fangirl ears - Temura Morrison was brought in to re-dub Boba Fett's lines. Now, I know I'm probably just a psycho-fan, but I had no problem with Boba's original voice, even after discovering that Lucas was going to make him a cloned whatever. I mean, hey, Vader's voice is different, why not Boba? Well, not anymore. The gravely, somewhat scary voice of Boba have been replaced with Morrison's New Zealand accent. He does his best to match the beats of the original dialogue, but I felt his accent was just glaring!
Oh, and he also tossed in a scene so we saw Vader go from Bespin to his super star destroyer. Not a big deal, though it sorta broke up the tension of the Millenium Falcon's escape.
Nothing Jabba moan worthy....oh god, Jabba....RotJ has the redone Jabba's palace...oh god...I might have to tape my mouth shut for that sequence. I liked Sy Snootles. She will be missed!
Blah, gots to get to bed, get to mark down clothes for 7 hours tomorrow, yay.
