star wars fans ahoy!
Mar. 18th, 2005 01:24 pmI just found out the D.C area star wars collecting club is having their meeting HERE tomorrow! Starting at 1! I'm working 11-3, so I might be able to pop in and say hello and check it out! Maybe I'd like a collecting club more than just a general fandom club (though is there such thing as a star wars fan that is not a collector?). They seem far more organized than the fanforce.net group that I was a member of back when EpII came out. They have a website and some 136 members (though I'm not sure how many actually participate.)
their website is www.dcswcc.com Looks pretty nice for a homemade site.
Oh I am so going to be there tomorrow haha.
EDIT: Are you read for this? Star Wars in 3-D. Lucas will not quit.

Is it May 19th yet?

Date: 2005-03-19 07:25 pm (UTC)By the way, if you don't already know this: Kellogg's is (of course) doing the Star Wars tie in, but the coolest collectable (IMO) is in the Frosted Flakes. They come with "light-saber spoons" and you can get one of 3 colors: red, yellow or green. I totally just bought Frosted Flakes for this spoon. (Got the dark-sidey red one.)
