free toy inside free toy inside!
Apr. 27th, 2005 11:28 pmI got a free toy today! Totally FREE! Of course, it looks a little weird, but it's so cool to get a free toy. yes, Diamond Select Toys sent out yet another freebie to it's e-mail list members. This time it was "Chosen Spike". He's bright yellow, and has his amulet around his neck. It was so cool to open the mailbox and not find bills, but a TOY!
Otherwise the day was pretty quiet. Library was busy. I found a World War II book in the children's section that had so many errors in it, it came with a sticker pack. I mean, this book was sad, they had the wrong date for Pearl Harbor. Could you imagine some poor kid checking it out, answering his little worksheet and getting it all wrong! Anyhoo, I pulled it and left it for one of the full timers to figure out. That was pretty much it for excitment.
Snowden Theaters in Columbia is doing a 12:01 showing of "Hitchhiker's Guide" tomorrow....I'm so tempted to go. It would be fun, though I'm working 1-9 so it would also be crazy. But there are tons of restaurants over there, so maybe we could have a later dinner then go see the show. I hope it's good. I've seen a couple fan reviews of "Serenity" so far, and they have all been very positive. I mean, they are fan reviews so they are biased, but at the same time, fans can be the harshest critics.
I just tried to sort through the 8000 Phantom Menace images someone posted for the new Star Wars layout I'm planning. I think I want to have images from all 6 films blended into madness with "Celebrate the Saga!" across it. Need to decide which images to go with though. I figure I'll need a bad-ass Vader head for the centerpiece, but which characters to focus on from the other films. RotS will have Anakin and Obi, that I've decided...maybe AotC will have Yoda and Padme...not sure about Phantom Menace....ANH will be Luke and...hm...the droids? Han & Leia for ESB, and RotJ...hm...EVERYBODY! haha. I dunno, still in the planning stages.
Off to bed - got the 1-9 shift at Provinces plus possible HHGTTG after that...maybe...if I can convince
jimithingy....
