Sep. 20th, 2002 11:45 pmWhat a fun day. Did a lot but not that much haha. Got up super early and went down to Annapolis to help out with the Rusted Root concert at Armidillos. That was pretty cool. Their manager was kind of a dork, but I think he was just upset because the bus was so big and the streets were so small and the cops were so anxious to put a ticket on it. Anyhoo, i was in charge of decorating the room and then they made me video tape. It was the girl, Jen, in the band who asked me to. God, I was so shaky, and this one chick was right in my way, so I had to balance on top of a chair in top of the sound system knobs and try and make it so the BAND was in the shot. I just hope she doesn't look at the video until she is very far away from here.
Anyhoo, then we helped them pack up after the hour set. I got autographs. And a free copy of the new album, which I actually like a lot. Then I drove to Best Buy and got myself a copy of the Crash Bandicoot game for PS2 and bought mom a b-day present and some cards.
Oh, one annoying thing. This sound guy, for WRNR not for Rusted Root, I think they are like just the sound guys that the sound company sends over to set up equipment. Something like that. But he kept talking at me. There is no polite way to blurt out "I have a boyfriend!" so i just let him talk at me. *sigh* he was trying to ask me out for lunch and stuff. ah well. I guess I still got it (that's what my mom said, appreciate it while it lasts....what a depressing thought).
Anyhoozit, I think we'll probably rent "THE THING" for Vincent tomorrow. He played the PS2 game and it was pretty creepy. But he needs to see the movie.
I have a 4 page paper due on monday and I haven't even read half the stuff I need to read. And I have to work 1-5 tomorrow. I should sleep. It was so warm today, I was sweating like crazy loading up the vans. It's not even midnight yet and I'm TIRED!
