cuz their looking for ideas
Jan. 26th, 2004 11:38 pmI think I'm getting bored with radio....or at least with this whole WINX situation. everyone there seems so miserable. They all dislike each other most of the time...it's not a pleasant working environment....they're crushing my will to live!
I've always wanted to do something in the entertainment category but I just don't know what. There are so many options out there that I'm unaware of, I feel silly settling on this right away. The more we watch the LOTR DVDs and my BtVS DVDs, the more I want to get into television and movies. I don't know what aspect though. I think being a staff writer for a show would be awesome. But how do you do that? I can't really think up a series pilot, but I love writing for characters I already know. *sigh* who do you ask about this sort of stuff??
Then there's the "play it safe" part of me that wants to just get a "normal" job. Which might be nice too...maybe a good way to save up money while looking into the entertainment biz. My mom has been pushing for me to go back to the library in some capacity. I looked though and they only have Part-Time openings...part time hourlys at the library earn almost $10 an hour!!!! Maybe I should just go do that as a regular job and go back to WINX being a couple hours a week thing.
I just don't think I want to go back to school to get a Masters in library sciences. But I did enjoy the people at the library. I bet I could get the part time hourly job.
AiiiEEEEE! I wish I had more random ideas in my head so I could say "well I'll work in this job but write my great american novel/screenplay/teleplay in the evenings.....but alas, I'm too damn tired to be creative. I have ideas I'd like to work on though. Adrian was saying they should make a Zelda movie, now I'm thinking I could play the games and attempt to create a script of sorts (or an outline or something). And all the Buffy essays I've been reading make me want to write about television....
*sigh* I just want a job where if it snows/ices overnight, I can call in the next morning and say "sorry, I can't make it in today" and the entire place won't cease operation. I guess I want to be expendable? Expendable, but likeable, that's the angle I'm working. I may not be running the whole show, but gosh darn it, people like me.
Yeah........
I dunno, maybe I'm just tired or something.
bedtime.
