Watched "Lost in La Mancha" last night. It's all about Terry Gilliam's attempt to make a Don Quixote movie, something he's been attempting to do for over a decade. And it doesn't work. It has to be one of the saddest things I've seen. It ended with the film abandoned and the insurance company owning Gilliam's script. The final screen said that Gilliam was attempting to find new investors and buy back his script to try again.

I checked IMDB - I didn't see anything on there about a Don Quixote movie. So either his attempts have completely failed or he's still searching for investors. It was an interesting thing to watch, to see how film works, how shooting on location works, and how the money works, and how things can go wrong so quickly.

Started reading "Fray" last night, the Joss Whedon comic book about a Slayer in the future. I read the first 2 chapters. She's kick ass, and like all of Joss' characters, full of backstory to be explored later on in the book. The next chapter started with a bunch of black & white frames, which seems to be code for flashback. I hope Joss keeps up these little side projects and keeps the Buffy/Angel-verse alive. Hell, it would be nice if he wrote some Firefly stories after they finish the movie.

We need to watch "American Splendor". It was one of the first movies we took out on Netflix and I think we're a bit hesitant to watch it, it seems like it's going to be messed up and probably mean at times, but I've heard it's pretty funny. I like the main actor in it, he usually plays bit parts in films, but he's the guy in this one. oooh, what's his name? You'd know him - he played the boss of Howard Stern in "Private Parts" and the fat liar in "Big Fat Liar". and so many other things.

Adrian is going to come home and pass out. Poor guys schedule is all over the place. At least he's on spring break starting now.

I just spent over an hour playing with the movie maker program I found on this machine. Got the whole thing put together and went to make it a .mpeg file and the program crashes. Every time. And of course, being that it's just a raw file now, I can't transfer it to another movie maker cuz it's saved in that movie makers file.

How frustrating!
