okay, it's official, I'm a wuss
Mar. 31st, 2004 10:51 pmSo I played "Silent Hill 3" for several hours yesterday and when I went to finally go to bed - well I couldn't. I'd managed to spook myself beyond logic. And to top it off, when I went to lie down, one of my star wars figures chose that moment to fall over, so I heard a "thwack!" as I was lying there in bed, spooked. I had the pillow over my head and everything just trying to drown out any sounds. So I told myself today that I would not play any more of that game....a vow which lasted until I got home from babysitting. I just got the roller coaster key for crying out loud! I had to know what happened next!
This is where I made my mistake.
I am now on the Amusement Park (OF HELL!) and let's just say, it is the creepiest of all the places I've been. And just to make it *that* much worse, right after I used the roller coaster key, I ended up next to a "haunted mansion" ride. I should have just turned the damn thing off right there. But no, I had to see what happened next!
Haunted House in already scary video game = SUPER SCARY!!!! I screamed, I admit it. Freaking dead bodies falling from the ceiling and creepy disembodied voice following me around the building.
Oh crap, I just scared myself again thinking about it! CURSE THAT GAME! It's so interesting, I want to know what happens next....I just wish someone else was playing.
So I died about 3 seconds after the dead guy fell and scared me...then I played Crash Bandicoot for about 3 hours after that, just trying to calm down. Crash is far less intense...I mean, he's a bandicoot.
Yes, no Silent Hill 3 for at least 3 more days. Unless it's really sunny outside. No more playing at night, that's for sure! My heart can't take it.
I took Willow out of her bag. I think she might travel with me tomorrow. I'm going to UMBC cuz Jeff from WMBC wants to interview me for a project he's doing (ah, senior seminar). I might go wander the AMST department halls before/after to see if I can find any of my professors and say hello. I miss school (now *thats* scary)
Time for Daily Show. Gotta get some info-tainment.
