this list from Blender Magazine, apparently they decided these were the 50 worst songs ever. Now I disagree. I can think of songs far worse than these, and some of them are just overplayed or overrated, but they are still good songs. I must lodge complaints about a few. and agree with others
Okay, I had a huge post detailing my like/dislike of some of those songs. But it was too insane to read. Needless to say, I disagree with half of them. Most of these tunes are too new to qualify as "worst songs ever". I'm not American Idol fan, but I'm sure Clay Aiken can't be the worst song ever. I've never heard it but it's too new.
Five for Fighting should not be on the list. "Superman" is a great song, though it was overplayed to death because of 9/11. But years from now you will be able to listen to it and it will be enjoyable. Just let it sit for a bit.
Billy Joel - we didnt start the fire is a bit dated, but it's a great tune and if you know all the words you can impress your friends at parties.
Beatles? Never. if I had to pick worst beatles song ever, I'd put "you know my name, look up the number" or how about "run for your life"?
Two Princes is just for fun, as is Breakfast at Tiffanys,....I dare you to listen to these songs and not come away from them at least humming the chorus
*sigh* "Worst" is such a harsh word. Its like "HATE". Some of these songs, if I heard them on the radio, I would change the station. Others, I'd listen to and most likely sing along. Most of them are just plain old "Bad 80s" which is a blanket term I use for any one hit wonder from that decade.
Whoever wrote this list was bitter. Probably a DJ. You learn to hate the good tunes when you're a DJ.
Angel has been over there dancin for an hour now, I have to post this before I go crazy.
