oi!

What a freakin' long week it has been. I babysat Monday and Tuesday for most of the day. Then Wednesday I had my interview for the library job. Did no go as well as last time, in my opinion. The humidity sucked all of my confidence out before I was even in the building. Then I sat and waited for what seemed like forever before they took me into the back room to fill out the paperwork. Most of the questions were the same, but I didn't even get to read the second page. You know how they try to teach you to read thru questions before starting to answer them with that second grade worksheet? Remember that? Well, I had real world experience with it Wednesday. If I had just read thru the questions, I would probably have felt better about the interview. Instead, when we flipped to page 2, I started to fumble with my words and attempted to think off the top of my head (bad plan). Blah. Terri Tresp, who used to work at MDC with me was one of the interviewers. So either she'll want me to work for her cuz I'm so cool, OR she'll not want to hire me cuz I make her feel old haha. It's been a good 5 years since I'd seen her.

I'm gonna be a fireman when the floods roll back

We watched "The Gift" today, the final episode of Buffy season 5. AD actually *asked* to watch it. Really! Anyhoo, man is that FULL of foreshadowing for season 6. Buffy even says a line that Dawn will repeat in the musical episode to her. We also saw Angel's dragon fly out of the hell dimension. It was at quite a serious moment though, so we both resisted the temptation to scream out "ANGEL'S DRAGON!" while Buffy is giving her whole "I'm gonna jump into a portal and die to save your sorry ass, Dawn" speech. Still, a good episode. I got a little teary eyed, but it's hard to be sad when the season 6 box set is sitting right next to the DVD player. hehe.

I started to play Starcraft today. Vincent and Adrian are always telling me what a great game it is, so I figured I'd learn it so we could play together. I'm about 5 stages in to the tutorial for the Terran race. It's fun. I'm enjoying it.
