this halloween, everybody scream!
Nov. 1st, 2004 12:46 amWell, probably one of the calmest October's I've had in awhile. Since the Smith Halloween gathering was cancelled due to their moving, we really didn't do anything festive. I put on my mix CD this evening when I realized it was my last chance to hear it until next year. That's about it. Very calm, pretty quiet.
Watched the Dead Like Me season finale. I really hope it gets renewed for a third season, I feel as though the writing is just getting stronger and stronger. Huff starts next week, which we'll probably check out as I have always liked Hank Azaria and Oliver Platt. Hopefully it will be amusing. Simpsons starts up next week too, running their Halloween special a week late. Hm?
Went to Skylor's birthday brunch this morning. Who knew they'd be handing out mamosas at a 5 year old's birthday party! What a way to start a sunday. It was cool though, made friends with Maggie, a 4th grader who is buddies with Skylor. She was really cute, we were discussing Pirates of the Carribean and she was saying that all her friends think Orlando Bloom is hot and all the mom's like Johnny Depp. I told her it was a never ending debate. That's an interesting age. Skylor you have to drag information out of, but Maggie was just over-flowing with things to say. Anyhoo, had crepes and cake and lots of fun, so that was my big party for the month.
We're all caught up on LOST now. If you're not watching this show, you should be. Go download the last 6 episodes and get caught up, because it just keeps getting better and better. Last week's episode might be my favorite so far, in terms of writing and direction and plot twists. I wonder how they filmed it, if it was all done in one fell swoop like a movie, or what. Because of the whole situation, they can't have actors going off and getting their hair done, or gaining weight or any other sort of drastic change.
Anyhoo, I need to get to bed. Busy day of running in circles tomorrow. I'm gonna go get my library paycheck too and say hello to
destertale, send off some CDs I sold at half.com and deposit some checks so I have enough dinero in my account to pay rent this week. I made a few icons today too, so I thought I'd share:
