I do love the bonus gifts

Yesterday, I was spoiled yet again. Went to the mall while we were out, because one of the members of the DCSWCC reminded me that the Illyria figure was out and I had seen her before christmas but felt silly buying her. So I ran back into Suncoast to get her. And as a bonus, they had the Buffy Halloween PaLz set for 75% off! So I snagged that too. Because they are so darn cute. (though whoever made the jacket for Xander was a doofus, as I can't get it on him...so he's staying in Army costume for now).

These purchases spawned a re-arranging of my desk. Moved all my Yodas around, bumped the other PalZ set down next to the middle shelf and put Illyria next to Spike...I'll post photos of that later.

Then we went and saw jimithingy's brother and got our christmas presents (hey, better late than never!). jimithingy got a cat calendar and 40-year old virgin. I got a new DDR game, plus, addressed to both of us, was a copy of Karaoke Revolution Party for PS2, which part of me really wants to try, and the other part wants to go hide the game. hehe. We have to buy a microphone before we can even try it out though. (though I think the game should come with a case of some sort of alcohol...)

We also found out that there are a few gifts in limbo. Apparently, jimithingy wishlisted 'Batman Begins: Deluxe Edition' and that turned out to be a Best Buy exclusive. So Amazon ran out of items to fill the order and decided not to send it until it had a copy...along with about 5 other things that he had asked for.

first day jitters

OMG OMG tomorrow is my first day as a full time library associate. Granted, the first 3 hours of that day will be spent filling out paperwork and such, but still - EEP!

My tummy is already tingling and I'm trying to figure out what I want to wear. I just ordered a bunch of pants from Kohls.com because they didn't have my size in the store, hopefully they fit.

I printed out direction to the branch while I was at work today. Also printed out how to get from Headquarters to the branch, since that is what I'll be doing tomorrow.

I'm filling up my iPod with showtunes right now. I don't know why. Musicals will help me relax and sing and channel...something. I just realized that I don't have my Evita soundtrack...with Madonna...hm...zaubervz, have you seen that lying around at home anymore? I need 'Another Suitcase, Another Hall'!!! So far, I've uploaded the Buffy musical, a bunch of random disney songs, and right now 'Pirates of Penzance' is ripping so I can sing along to my favorite - 'With Cat Like Tread!'. Lordy, did I have a crush on Rex Smith back in the day. Next up, 'Phantom of the Opera', with Michael Crawford of course!!! Haven't listened to that in ages. I also have 'Into the Woods', 'Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum' and 'THe Producers' in the pile in front of me. My iPod will surely reject me after tomorrow but I don't care.

When I got home from work today, jimithingy had purchased the microphone for 'Karaoke Party 4'. He sang the first song, and it looked like fun, so without any alcoholic help, I gave it a try. It really is cool. I pwned 'Uptown Girl'. GOLD RECORD BABY! It actually has quite a lot of songs i know. Lots of new ones and classics and random 80s (take on me!!!) I already want to buy all the older versions just to have the full catalog. hehe.

Okay, I'm going to go rummage thru my clothes and find something nice yet comfy to wear tomorrow.
