too much stuff!
Nov. 29th, 2006 11:10 pmUgh, someone in our apartment building apparently has bed bugs, so tomorrow Orkin is coming to spray. Apparently bed bugs are one of the few hardcore visits they have to make. We received a note in the door telling us how to set stuff up in our apartment - put all our clothes and linens into plastic bags. Move all furniture 3 feet away from the wall.
Easier said than done. Our apartment isn't that big and everything is shoved up against the wall for a reason. Plus, with bags full of clothes and blankets and sheets all over the place we have even LESS ROOM. My first instinct is to shove the bags against the wall to get them out of the way, but that won't do.
also, everything shoved against the wall has at least on star wars figure or buffy figure displayed on it. And probably a mini-library's worth of books too. Which have to be removed to make the bookshelf or desk move-able, but then what? Should I pile them back up?
so,
jimithingy and I have spent most of our free time today attempting to move stuff. And...well, most of it's 3 feet away from the wall. of course, that's the only 3 feet available in the entire apartment now. We really haven't touch too much of the bedroom, I think it's impossible to move the bed 3 feet away from the wall because there's just no that much room! Plus we have the wardrobe, dresser, bookshelf, endtables, and tv to move around...somehow.
They also didn't say anything about stuffed toys. There are a lot of those lying around too.
Oh well, at least this will give me a chance to dust and re-arrange my current figure selection. This week is just so nutty though, why did it have to happen this week! blargh!!!!
