Something I noticed while showing my co-worker, Amy, the British Harry Potter cover:

Amazon.co.uk has an ENTIRE section of it's site dedicated to Harry Potter. And this isn't some hidden away corner you can only find when searching for an HP title, nope - it's one of the MAIN choices listed across the top menu bar.

Also, it appears that the Brits have "adult" versions of HP. Not that they have naughty bits, but just that the jackets have been redesigned to resemble a "normal" adult fiction book. You know the type, boring front cover, nice photo of the author on the back.

I guess it would just be too embarrassing to be seen with the brightly colored children's versions. Or the Super Special Edition (who the frak designed that one???)

Also - in case you were wondering - my library system already has 325 holds on 'Deathly Hallows'. I can't imagine how many copies we'll be getting. It shall be insane. I mean, for a normal book, for every 7 holds, we would order another copy. But this is far from a normal book - it's an event.
