Legacy Revealed...in SPACE!

(Shhh, I'm at work right now. It's very very quiet at the library on this rainy Sunday. But since this isn't my home branch, I really can't work on any of my projects, so I've been refreshing my flist over and over. You guys are quiet today!)

Anyway! I finally finished watching 'Star Wars Legacy Revealed', the History Channel special that aired last Monday. I really liked it! I hope they release it on DVD because I'd love to watch it again. Some of it wasn't breaking any new ground but the information on the prequels and the new myths that were tapped because of the way the prequel stories tie into the OT stories were very interesting. I think it was well done. It really made me want to read a book on the whole thing, since they could only scratch the surface of each story. I would love to see a tome (and it would have to be a tome, no mere book could hold all the stories) of collected myths and literature that scholars feel are being referenced (conciously or unconsciously) in the films stories.

I still have 'Star Wars Tech' on my DVR but I don't know if I'll bother watching it. It's one of those "could we actually create a lightsaber/hyperdrive/Vader suit" sort of shows and really...I don't care. I might turn it on to see what it's like though. But I doubt it will suck me in as much as the 'Legacy Revealed' special did.

tomb raiding on wednesday

So, according to Best Buy's Sunday advert, the Tomb Raider Anniversary game should be on this Wednesday (barring any more "manufacturer delays"). And get this - it's only $20!!!!

Better yet - guess who just remembered she has a $20 Best Buy gift card left over from Christmas buried in her purse somewhere? (yes, me!)

So, hopefully the game will be in stock on Wednesday! Maybe I can scoot by a Best Buy after work (or beg jimithingy to spin by for me and have Lara ready and waiting for when I arrive home...)
