It was pretty cool to try a demo for an open-world game. You get to play the first quest and then you get 45 minutes to explore, so you can either continue the main storyline or try some of the random side-quests scattered around.
The animation reminds me of Fable III and WoW - everything is very smooth, a little cartoony, sorta cute in a way. Very colorful though there is a bit of a golden glow
The game play is pretty cool, and after I saw that someone involved with Elder Scrolls:Oblivion was involved with the game design, I was not surprised. It feels like someone took Fable, WoW, Elder Scrolls and DragonAge and threw them in a blender and hit "Game time". Oh, and then they added a dash of God of War and Prince of Persia. Now, I'm not 100% sure this is a good idea. I had a lot of fun with my hour of gameplay but I want to play more to find out what all this "responsive combat" stuff means.
( let me break it down a bit )
