Did a layout change! Finally made a banner that I was happy with. AD says I should make a bunch of different banners that focus on each fandom then set up the code so they rotate each time you refresh...that sounds like a project though, and I wanted to change my layout NOW! So click through to my LJ to see my new perdy banner. I also put some different icons on the side component too! I'll start work on seperate fandom banners later on, after I scour the web for some nice pics.

That's about it for excitment for today.

actually, i believe i said you should have it be a different layout for each day of the week. that way you could write like 'wednesday' on the banner & do different mood. i wouldn't have to load a new one each visit... just each day.

I really just want to customize my journal a little, my two fave fandoms are Tinkerbell and Tori Amos, I'd love to incorporate one or both of them somehow into my journal.
This is how lame I am- is a "banner" what you have above your journal postings (like your "excitment, adventure.." one)?
persephones_rev has taught me most everything I know, but I am still very limited : (

yep, the banner is just the pretty thing along to top. If you want to do the little side boxes like I have, there's a tutorial for that in my memories by awakencordy. Actually, you can just look in my user info for the link. You have to have a paid account for that, you don't need a paid account to add the banner.

Anyhoo, I'd love to help you make a banner, if you can find me a few images of Tink and Tori that you really like, I'll work with those and we'll pretty up your journal. :-)

I know I've complimented you on the banner, but I forgot to say that I love your new layout. :D The green is so calming. I think the rotating banner would be hella cool, but only if it's not too daunting of a task. :)

That's so cool and sweet that you want to help miss_tinkermel 'pretty up' her journal. I know she really wants to, but doesn't have the time, and neither she nor I are that skilled in PhotoShop. :)

I like to help when I can. spitefairy was saying that icon/graphics makers need to help out others, and I realized I'm not big on posting massive tutorials and such, but I like to help people one on one. Prolly the easist thing to do with any images you find is either post a link to them here for me or upload them into your LJ picture thingy (you're a paid member so you should have one). If you upload them there and leave them as shared, I should be able to browse them.

I have a hotmail e-mail addy, and it fills up pretty quick, especially if the photos are high quality. but you can always try and e-mail them to me at samz37 at hotmail dot com.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, miss_tinkermel and I were talking about how sometimes the tutorials are a bit difficult for newbies to decipher since we don't know all the terminology and such. :) But thank you for all your support and help.
