next big project

Okay, so I've decided I want to totally re-vamp my journal. This project will probably take me a few months to complete, with my total lack of programming skills. I'm going to try and teach myself some more HTML and some CSS. I'm trying to figure out which journal styles I like the most. I've found a few, though some of them I can't identify from the previews in the customize section. I think I might give "Opal" a try as I found a few tutorials that show you how to add all the little extra side boxes and stuff (I'm so about the clutter). (spitefairy, do you have any reccomendations for a good, customizable layout for a newbie like me?)

Then, after I make that, I'm going to attempt a multi-fandom mood theme for myself.

And after that is all finished, I'll try to make the ever-changing banners, one banner for each fandom and figure out how to make it change each time you refresh my blog.

Think I can do that before summer is out? I need to learn how to code on pencil and paper...or I need to start carrying a floppy disc around with me so I can open up notepad or word and type some of this stuff out. Yesssss.

Also do you know how to make mood icons? I guess I should also ask Perseph since I just noticed she has some cool ones too. I want some!

Geez, lady... your project list keeps getting larger and larger! How do you ever keep up with it? I bet once it's done, though, it'll be impressive, as always. :)

You're starting to make me look bad in the graphics dept! You're taking on all these challenges, and I'm barely starting on colorbars. o.O *laughs*

if you find any images you want me to use for a banner, just send me links to where they are. Or give me a vague idea of what you'd like and I'll do an image search. :-)

I'm just now learning how to make mood icons myself, persephones_rev just posted a link to one of the mood themes that shes using and I'm going to work from that to figure out how to make my own. I think you just pretty much have to upload pictures somewhere and then tell LJ which moods they match up to.

ooh, yes I want to add those little graphics between entries like in your journal. I love those, they add so much to your journal.
