One of my high school friend is getting married next month. The official invitation arrived today. For some reason, I cannot wrap my brain around it. I dunno why. It freaks me out. Means I'm getting older. Marriage is serious business, and I usually try to avoid serious things. Yeah. I'm not even the one getting married and I'm terrified! haha. At least I don't have to do anything. I'm just watching.

And, of course, I have nothing to wear! it says that the ceremony is at 1pm and then there is a causal picnic at 2pm...hm...ah well, I've got a month to figure this thing out.

It's so wierd when people your age start getting married. All my sibs are married and some friends and I keep freaking out...every single time it's whoohoo for you and also 'dear god what are you doing?' So I totally hear ya.

I'm sure you'll find something pretty to wear. :)

yeah, part of me feels weird cuz I haven't seen her in ages or really hung out with either of them in a very long time. And another part of me is sorta happy that I won't be surrounded be mutual friends who inevitabley ask the "so when are you and AD getting married?" bit.

It's always a bit surreal when your friends, close or otherwise, progress in some "adult" area before you do, but I hear it's worse when you're then one head-lining. o.O Try to think about that. :) As for your outfit, keep it simple with a skirt and a blouse, or a casual dress, or dress slacks... something you can move around in, though, and preferably, something that doesn't wrinkle easy. :D

that's true. Though since her cirlce of friends has changed, she's not the head-liners for her group but she is in mine! haha. Weird.

I've only been to one other wedding (as a grown up) and that was Adrian's brother's wedding...and that was a big formal thing and I wore my old prom dress. Don't think I can get away with that this time though hehe. Hm...maybe I can use this as an excuse to by a nice casual dress...
