orangerful shakes fist in anger!
Oct. 17th, 2005 03:43 pmSo,
verdatum and
dstntp1lgr1m came over last night to check out my red hair and chill. And we're sitting there, playing Lego Star Wars on Xbox and this splashing sound comes from the kitchen, and I run in there and the sink is over flowing!
jimithingy and I run around, trying to get towels to mop up the water and get all the electrical appliances off the counter top. Ugh. It starts to drain but we call the office anyway and the guy comes over and pretty much shrugs. Seems there a clog somewhere in there and they'll have to cut into the wall to find it but they can't do that tonight. So we're like, fine, come back tomorrow afternoon.
Well, the sink just flooded again and
jimithingy went to the office and they told him the guy had been over their earlier and has "installed something". This something did not cut a hole in our wall, so most likely they did exactly what they had done before - poured some magic stuff down the drain in the hopes that it would go away. But it didn't so we're supposed to get a real plumber tonight. BLAH! Our kitchen is teh disaster area.
They guy told us if it does it again to start running it to the bathroom. I tried that this morning when it bubbled and I spilt water all over the carpet. *headdesk* Ah well, hopefully this will be fixed soon.
The wedding on Saturday was very nice. The sun came out after 9 days of rain and gloominess. The ceremony was short and sweet. Mike got choked up during his vows and that almost made me cry, then I couldn't even hear Joanne's vows so in the strain to hear, the tears went away. haha. But it was very nice. After that we went to a park and ate dinner, which was very nice too. Got to hang out with
maybemanda the whole time too, which is always a plus.
So I've only been to two weddings in my adult life - Alex & Julie's wedding - which was quite intense as she'd pretty much been planning that thing her whole life. And now Joanne & Mike's which was very small and quiet and simple, which fit their personalities. Got me thinking though, if IF someday I wanted to get married, I think I'd want mine to be somewhere between the two. I think I'd like the quiet and simple ceremony but then a wild and crazy party afterwards haha. And I don't want a Jedi wedding or anything, but it would be cool to work some of my fandoms in somehow, like Buffy quotes or something. I kept thinking of Anya's vows (not the sex part, but the sweet bit at the end) and how great those were.
I'd want a dance party too, because I love a good excuse to party. With a DJ so I could play anything and everything; from Sinatra to Rockwell Church to the Firefly theme. OMG that would be sweeet. haha.
anyhow, that was just something I was pondering. In the big one day, maybe, if land.
k, WoW time. :P
