On my last Italian Quiz, there was an exercise where you had to make up the 2nd half of a sentence. The first part would say, "She doesn't like to lift weights;" and you would finish it by saying "she prefers to do aerobics." Or something like that.

Well, I got mine back and I missed a question. I hadn't been paying attention to what the sentence was actually saying--I assumed that it was like all the other ones. So my sentence said:

"Non prendo l'aero; preferisco ballare." Translation: "I don't take airplanes; I prefer to dance." As soon as I figured out what it said and really thought about what it meant, I started to giggle, and continued to giggle everytime I looked at it. I felt so bad because people would ask questions and I would randomly start to laugh, and so it probably seemed like I was laughing at them... ah well. :)
