One of my buddies in the DCSWCC alerted me to a sale at Cinequest. Buffy figs marked down....mmmmm....how could I resist? We're ordering together to cut down on shipping price. Anyhoo, I'm getting:

Willow & Tara (and Miss Kitty Fantastico!!!) I actually already have a season 4 Willow figure I got in the mail, so I'm thinking this Willow can come with me to work...

Vamp Willow - Bored now.

Dark Willow - I should take her to work too...then alternate between how I'm feeling haha.

Gonzo the Great

And if the Sam the Eagle wasn't from Muppet's Treasure Island, I would have gotten him too! hehe.

The BtVS library playset is still full price, but it hasn't even shipped yet so I'm sure it will drop after that. I still want that, it's huge though!

AFX has an exclusive Cheerleader Buffy (from season 1's 'The Witch') but she looks off to me. I think it's her neck, I think it's too long. I think it's the articulation points too...they look bad on toys with no sleeves or pants on. Plus, the "points of articulation" are not very articulate. I'd rather just have them like the older toys, pre-posed. My other Buffy figure looks fine but her head doesn't turn and that's okay because I don't plan on having her go Linda Blair on me anytime soon. Same with the Fred figure that is out. Whats the point of making her head moveable if she's going to have "pigtails" that hold it in place anyhow?

Articulation looks cool on Stormtroopers because you can hide the bendy points under their armor....

I emailed him today so he'll probably put the order in this week. Though, actually, he said he thought he saw the Willow&Tara set downtown for less so he's gonna try and grab that there.

Why, you want in on this fantastic offer? I'll tell him to wait one more day before ordering if you wanted me to add something to it.

That's one Vamp Willow, one Dark Willow, and one Willow&Tara, right? I emailed Scott and he should add those on to our order. He'll probably place it tonight or tomorrow. I probably won't actually see him until the March meeting though, so you have until then to put the cash aside ;)

I don't have room for the figures either! But some of the guys in my star wars club gave me their buffy collections, plus Diamond Select Toys started sending out free toys randomly and suddenly I needed them all!!

heehee I was reading your post when you replied. :) Good to see your name pop up in my inbox. I'm doing well, getting used to the fulltime jobness, which is both exhausting and exciting.

How are you getting accustomed to the branch they have you at? I'm trying to get a little LJ in, but my office has moved locations, and now it takes me twice as long to travel back and forth. Like I didn't have limited time before. *sighs* Ah well. I'm just going to do my best, you know? :D

So far so good. It's one of the community (read: smaller) branches but it's very busy. We're right in front of the high school, so around 2:30 the kids start to wander over. But usually they just get on the computers and dont' bother anyone. I have a TON of training starting up next week. Storytime training, basic library associate training (which is really just proving that you know how to do what you already know how to do) and some supervisor training since I'm co-incharge of our volunteers. I try to sneak a peek at my LJ while I'm on the desk but I'm usually so busy, I don't get to read very much.

But everyone has been very nice and helpful. It's a little weird because I am the youngest person on the staff (not counting the pages who are in high school) and I'm used to working with at least one person who's close to my age. But it's all good. I shall hone my skills here and learn from the masters :)
