It's like 80 degrees outside.

It's the middle of March and it's hot enough that I want to wear shorts and sandals!

And no one told the library air conditioner that it would be this hot, so it's happily pumping out warm air, making it pretty stuffy in here. Serene is plugging in a fan right behind me now so that should help until the temperature evens out a bit. I'll have that windblown look while I'm sitting here, but right now, it just feels good haha.

Seriously though, if this is March, what's going to happen in June???

To top it off, the microwave died right when I popped my frozen burrito in. Everyone else had gone out to lunch and I had said I would be okay here, since they need one regular staff person in the branch while the pages are working. So as soon as everyone leaves and I decide to have lunch *pop*. Luckily, the manager came back early so I was able to dash out to Wawa and get yet another italian sub...they are so good.

thank god it's friday. 4 more hours! Then there's iconing to be done, WoW dungeons to crawl, and possibly some Sims 2 to play. With maybe a pinch of Harry Potter to watch, or perhaps Wallace&Gromit or Walk the Line...oh the choices!

It's 80? My goodness. It's fairly warm here too, but looks like temps will be dropping again soon. I do hope spring will properly come soon, though.

No melting, k? Ohhh I want to watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire again....

Must be a library thing- I spent the morning in the BU library and just about died it was so hot. They had set up a fan too.

I do have to say- thank goodness for reference librarians. Because you really can't find everything you need on google. Not yet, at least.

google is crap when it comes to actual information. I do love it when patrons say "you know the book with the guy who has the thing" then I google that and usually I can get a basic idea of what I'm looking for, then go to amazon for the correct author or title, then search our catalog. Other than that, I usually use the databases that the library subscribes too, then you actually get a citation, which is usually the hardest part of "online" sources IMHO.

I wish our catalog had that "didn't you mean" google function though, I am forever the typo queen.

I am anti-Wallace and Gromit. lol

And yeah, I totally wore shorts and a sleaveless shirt to Atlantic City this weekend with Paul. I'm ready for the warm weather and possibly something more than a farmers tan lol. :)

It's just the whole britich, claymation, wallace and gromit thing. Visually there's just nothing appealing about soft-shaped figurines for me.

And there's NO way that movie should have gotten best animation over Howl's Moving Castle OR Corpse Bride.
