I have no idea why, but I have this urge to buy makeup. I don't really wear makeup, apart from lip stick. But I saw this picture of Scarlett Johannssen, and I wanted to buy the make up she was wearing. Luckily, the picture was an ad for make-up so finding out what she was wearing wasn't so hard. I'm tempted to go over to Target this week and see if they have any in stock. It just looks cool. Feels like time for a new look anyhow.

Also, I don't wear hats, but I might wear this one because it looks so cute. haha.

Yeah, I'm usually not a clothes shopper, but I would actually buy some of the items listed on the Veronica's wardrobe page. Not the $300 jeans, but maybe the shoes or Old Navy items. If they were on sale. [livejournal.com profile] faeriesfolly - if GAP has any mega sales, let me know! I might risk a trip into the belly of Arundel Mills to see if these are in stock and in my budget. :D

In other fandom/shopping news - OMG SO CUTE! Galactic Heroes are the most addictive and adorable star wars line out there. And finally a new stance! Oh I must have them (even though Vader with no mask AND a lightsaber is not canon, I don't care!)

Things are going to go on sale again from the Spring 1 line (the full price stuff in the store now), because the Spring 2 line is coming in within a couple weeks. I'll let you know when things get marked down. ;) I love mark down days.

Thise HIP cosmetics are fantastic for the price! Bright, shimmery colors are in, so don't go to Sephora, buy those! With the shadows, you wet them and use a brush (very 60's!)

I bought the bright turquoise and purple. I wear them at LARP, bars, and clubs. THey look glamorous!

how funny that the VM characters have an online wardrobe.. I guess that's the advertisers' response to the fact that everyone watches TV without commercials these days. I feel like I should be bothered by this, but I actually think it's kind of cool, especially where it's mostly affordable stuff.

I am on a hunt for jeans since Eddie Bauer I guess stopped making the jeans I normally buy. I'm a little miffed at the gap because these days all their jeans appear to be "distressed", ie, they come with fraying and scuffing and holes. I feel like an old fart saying this, but my jeans are going to look like that soon enough, so why would I buy them damaged to begin with? I suppose that's an obvious comment, but I'm pissed that they don't even give me a choice!

yeah, I sorta like the online store idea - if they can tell me what episode the item was worn I'm tempted to buy it. Wish they had that back in the Buffy days. :D

The two pairs of jeans that I have right now that I'm wearing into the ground are Banana Republic and Old Navy. I was on a mission for non-distressed jeans that were regular rise (not super ultra uber low rise) and those were the two pair that I found and actually liked. I had never shopped in those stores before but Arundel Mills has both. The Banana Republic jeans were a bit on the pricey side (anything over $25 is pricey to me) but they are my favoritest pair of pants ever.

ooh- thanks for the heads up. I'll have to check out these stores (although oddly, an Old Navy is hard to find around here). I bought two differnt kinds of Eddie Bauer jeans, and they're ok, but they are both lower rise than my previous EB jeans (I can tell because I have to take my belt out a loop, but only for these jeans!), which were low enough for me. Nothin' against low rise, but too low and my legs look like little stumps, and any shirts I bought before shirts became uber-long last season are not so wearable if I stick to my theory that the world really doesn't need to see my belly.

The other issue is skinny vs. boot cut. I think the fashion world was pushing skinny, but lets face it, 90% of America can NOT pull off skinny jeans, so I don't see them so much except for a few twee looking boys around BU. Most everyone is still wearing boot cut, I think..

Why am I writing so much about jeans??

heehee. Well it won't load right for me, but I'm getting better at spotting GAP clothes on commercials and television shows. haha.

because jeans are awesome pants and I want to wear them every day.

I prefer bootcut/flared than skinny because bootcut/flare makes my legs look skinny. Actually, the Banana Republic jeans I'm wearing right now are sorta loose the whole way down.

Regular Low Rise for me is fine, but some of these pants just get silly. Not only do I not want my belly hanging out but I'd like to avoid any butt crack showing too, which is usually where they sneak up on you. First the designers decide that women don't need pockets, they they try to make it impossible for us to bend over!
