I also seem to have a cold. I know exactly where I got it too - some little kid at storytime last week sneezed pretty much right on me. I started running a fever last night. This is the WORST week to have a cold. Lots of little meetings and training stuff. I'm pondering calling out tomorrow or maybe just going home early. If I feel like this, I might have to...

jimithingy & I went over to talk to the apartment people about our lease, which expires the first week of June. After living here 4 years, our rent was going to be increased to $965/month. During the 4 years we've been here, they have been renovating all the apartments around ours. So we asked to see our apartment, remodeled. OMG so much nicer - new carpet, new tiles in the kitchen, new bathroom, new stove, new washer/dryer (in the unit) and just so clean! And the rent? $960! shyeah!
Only downside is that we have to re-apply, which makes no sense. I mean, they were going to let us stay, no questions asked if we just sat here. But now that we want to go into a new one, we have to reapply and they have all these income standards. And they do NOT pay me enough to live in this county. Ugh. There's a big boom going on around Ft. Meade, lots of military moving into the area, so all the apartment complexes are jacking up the rent and trying to pretty themselves up.
Anyhoo, so now I'm nervous that they will turn us down. I think it will be okay though. They have a little "if you can't meet this requirement" clause that says the deposit might just be a bit more. I mean, I have a full time job now. And I did a little budget worksheet, and we can totally afford it. I guess if they say no we can just renew the lease. *shrug*
