I DID IT, bermuda here we come (in september, that is)

simontrueheart, qtbuglet, and blu_harvest will be happy to know that I FINALLY booked our Bermuda stuff. Just now!

And I am pissed at Expedia. Get this - last night I checked their website and it said it would cost me $2260 for our trip. This morning, I checked while I work (for the heck of it) and it said $2072. So I was like "oh yay! I will book as soon as I get home!" So I get home and try to book and it's $2260 again! So I call and ask what is up with that and they are like "oh well, sucks to be you, do you still want to book it and I'm like "no way, I can find it cheaper elsewhere!" (I'm totally convinced that they track my IP, and since I was logged in at home (and therefore a returning customer) they tried to charge me more, but when I was at work, I wasn't logged in...I'm going to test this theory tomorrow).

And I did! Changes in L'attitudes had it for $100 less and the guy I called was much nicer. I called because I was trying to find out about the "Endless Summer" promo going on - you get a $300 gift card if you stay at one of the participating hotels. Anyhoo, it wasn't coming up on the site, so I called to verify, and he was really nice. He said the office that handles it was closed already but he took my name and number and said he would call tomorrow. Then we looked at the flights/hotel I wanted and he got a slightly higher price than I did on my computer. I had deleted the transport service, but after thinking about it, it seemed less stressful to just pay the extra $64 and have the bus and driver waiting for us, rather than trying to hail a cab at 9pm at night! Still turned out to be less than Expedia!

So screw you Expedia, I don't need your "Thank You" points!

Anyway, we are flying to Bermuda on Sept 30th, leaving from BWI and coming home Oct 4th! Wild times ahead! I'm so excited! And so happy that I finally booked it! A big thank you to qtbuglet for sending me a link to that site way back when I first started fretting over where we were going to stay.

Why is it that the relaxing vacations are always stressful to plan? I'll never understand people sometimes.

LOL, it's so true. This is really the first "beach" vacation I've ever taken. Every other trip I've either been staying with family or friends OR it's been for a specific event (Star Wars Celebration, concerts etc). And this is the first go-to-the-beach-and-hang-out-on-a-gorgeous-island and I've been fretting about it for months haha.

See, everyone else is taking a cruise, so they've been booked and ready to go for almost a year now. So I feel like I'm so far behind! haha. But it's done and it feels so good to have it booked! Now I can actually look forward to it!

Yay! We are going to rock that island so hard ! ... God that almost sounds like I'm threatening Bermuda... I love the people of Bermuda!!! In any case, I'm glad it worked out. I will be so happy to escape this place for two weeks... ( I took extra time off.)
