whirlwind weekend and summer movies

orangerfulWell, I was going to post some pictures from the World Beer Fest but my camera is being very weird, so I will do that later! The weekend was great and the rain managed to hold off until the drive home so huzzah!
We're home now. The kitties survived their first day totally alone. I'm pretty sure they probably just slept through most of it. The big bowl of hard food we put out for them hardly looks touched at all.
Ummmm, what else? After seeing the stunning score for X-Men Origins: Wolverine on Rotten Tomatoes, we have decided to save our money for a GOOD movie. Plus, we've already put our $20 down for Star Trek at the IMAX on Sunday. Sorry Hugh Jackman, you're awesome but I'm not blowing that much money on a movie that doesn't even break 40%. Maybe I'll Netflix it, if I get really really bored.
The new Transformers trailer is up and it looks like Michael Bay will do what he is best at and blow a lot of shit up. w00t. The first one was fun in the theater, we shall see how number 2 holds up. I can't really get excited about G.I. Joe as I didn't really watch the cartoon (I played with the toys though) so the characters mean little to me. But if they blow up enough stuff, it might be cool. The Eiffel Tower going down in the trailer is impressive, though what is with the super-suits?
I took tomorrow off but apparently I have a doctor's appointment I didn't know about (gotta read the fine print on those letters - I saw the follow-up date and didn't read the actual appointment date). But oh well, I can go to the office then come home and go back to sleep. At least the place is right around the corner.
Okay, time for dinner and DOLLHOUSE!
