One of my favorite musicals ever. The movie is great, but I hope someday I can see it on stage (erm, a professional production - my high school did it senior year...because I pestered the drama teacher...a lot. It was a lot of fun but, again, I'd love to see someone else belt it out...OMG NPH should play Pseudolus! IT COULD WORK! SOMEOME CALL HIS AGENT NOW!).
This was the musical that prompted me, as a 4 year old, to walk up to my mom and say, very matter-of-factly- "Ya know mom, I'm not gonna be a virgin forever." (If you're familiar with A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, you'll understand why little-me would have thought this was a logical statement to make to my mom).
This musical also taught me other important vocabulary words, like eunuch.
Old situations, new complications (can you spot baby!Michael Crawford aka the ORIGINAL Phantom of the Opera?)
THOSE ARE THE MIGHTIEST THIGHS I EVER HAVE THEEN!!!!!!
What? What were you watching when you were a kid? I'd watch a bit of Raggedy Ann, Star Wars, Wizard of Oz, then a bit of Forum to finish off my day.
