orangerfulOnce again, stream of concious, random thoughts and reactions typed as I watch the second episode of Dollhouse Season 2 - Instincts.
Tahmoh is working that purple shirt. Nice.
The chair is not a toy!!!
Where as Topher's shirt is not so much.

Someone needs to define "hubris" for Topher.
Well, I knew this was the plot based on last week's preview clip but still very weirded out.
Did she just breast feed that kid? OH NOW I'M REALLY WEIRDED OUT!!!
Yay, I saw Miracle's name! Can't wait to meet Madeline.
Something tells me he's weirded out too.
Those shoes are ridiculous. No mom would wear those shoes.
Are they charging this guy for two dolls since Sierra had to be programmed too?
So did the real mom die and he hired her to be a surrogate mom?
Um, Ballard you probably need to do an extraction. Because I don't think this assignment is gonna work now.

Hm, not as good as last week's but still interesting. Good concept, it is showing us how far Topher can go with these imprints and how he's not really thinking before trying out these crazy things. I'm not sure Ballard is cut out for this handler thing. I felt like he dropped the ball a few times in this episode. More than he should have. Especially since he knows that Echo is sort of loose inside the imprints. Seems like we're slipping back into the doll-of-the-week mold again, but maybe things will get a bit more complicated now that the Senator is snooping around.

Date: 2009-10-03 10:32 pm (UTC)Paul was made of FAIL this week. I dunno if they had not read the premiere episodes script when Paul was all about reading her levels and sensing she was in danger, but it just didn't work to have him be quite so sloppy this week.
Ah well, next week's episode was written by Tim Minear so I'm excited for that!
