orangerfulGot my new Xbox all hooked up. Well...it's plugged in. Had a bit of a setback when I couldn't remember where I put my hard drive transfer cable. Flailed around for about an hour looking all over. Turns out it was with the video game stuff...I just needed to OPEN every box. But during the spaz fest, I did find an extra HDMI cable so now my Xbox is all Hi-Def! Shiny. :)
Of course, right now it's just showing me a hi-def "Update in Progress" box. But still.
It didn't detect the transfer cable when I turned it on, but i'm hoping once the update goes through, it will transfer all of my saved games. OH GOD I HOPE SO!!!!!!!! *panics quietly* EDIT: it's working :)

bittertwee (who needs to start posting again - come on 2012 resolutions!). Made it to the Museum of Moving Images for the Jim Henson exhibit which was as bittersweet as one would expect. Such a wonderful man. But it made me want to celebrate that genius by watching all my Muppet Show dvds. maybedeadcat mentioned that he had not seen Dark Crystal since the initial release...I have it on blu-ray. We will fix that problem soon.
Stephen Merchant's stand-up show was hilarious. Laughed the entire time, my throat was raw by the end. He didn't have any swag for sale BUT this was his FIRST U.S. show so...yeah, I'm just going to cherish my ticket stub. I'm hoping they release the DVD over here...I just saw it was up on Amazon.uk so there is hope! But maybe he will do more dates on this side of the pond. Right now it's just NYC and LA.
Off tomorrow thru Monday. Tomorrow will be a omg-buying-food-to-survive-christmas-eve day so there's plenty to eat/drink in the apartment as I marathon all my movies and shows.maybedeadcat is going to come over and we might attempt to cook again...so if you see smoke/fire, it's just us, ignore it. I have mac & cheese at the ready in case of emergencies.
Ooooh Xbox needs me to calibrate the Kinect now!
