- I can't decide if Adventure Time is just beyond weird or really really deep...I guess it's a bit of both. But I'm sorta in love with it right now. Having an incredibly catchy theme and closing credits song isn't helping either. We're about to finish up Season 1 on Netflix and it appears the library has a random Season 2 DVD so I put that on hold. It's amazing how much awesome they can cram into a 12 minute show.

- watched Phineas & Ferb: Mission Marvel tonight. I really liked it even though it was really just the most awesome Phineas and Ferb Marvel fanfic ever. I love that Candace wrote fan fic. (though I was sorta bummed about hers and Isabella's storyline being so emo...and Phineas was super cranky). But there were just SO MANY JOKES in there for the geeks. I want to meet the kid that was able to get all of those references.

- Behind on 'Futurama'...finale airs in September so I guess we have less than a month left :(

- thought I was behind on 'Venture Bros.' but it doesn't look like they have aired a new episode since July!!! WTF? I can't believe there were only 8 episodes in Season 5. I just hope the break between seasons isn't quite so ridiculously long this time. And I really liked this season a LOT!

Ugh, 2am, need to sleep now. ttfn

Have heard so much about Adventure Time but haven't seen it yet. Not sure if it'll be as good as some say it is.

It is very very very different...surreal and abstract are two words I would use to describe it. It just starts, the episodes are 12 minutes so it also moves quickly, and you either have to let yourself go with it or stand there saying "WTF?". It took me about 3 episodes to go from "What is this?" to "I WANT MORE!". And I've heard it just gets better as the seasons go on. Season 1 is on Netflix streaming.

First time I watched it, I was like "Whoa, this must be what being on drugs looks like" LOL. Lots of pastels and squiggly people.

LOL. I've never been on drugs so that might be an interesting experience. :) I'll probably give at least a couple of episodes a try.

Adventure Time!! Alex introduced me to that show (and to Phineas and Ferb!) when we started dating. At first I was super skeptical of it, that I would get into a show like that. And then I watched a handful if episodes and thought it was effing brilliant. Post-apocalyptic world with amazing crazy creatures and a freaky (yet incredible) background story that unfolds over time. So cool!

And yeah, Phineas and Ferb is just... It's written for the parents I think. With all the geeky references and whatnot I can't help but think the Disney people sat together and said, "We should make a show for adults and teens but market it to children. Perfect!"

Phineas & Ferb is one show that I could truly call a FAMILY show. It can actually entertain everyone in the room, no matter their age. Wish all of Disney's shows were so clever.

And I swear Adventure Time has some weird subliminal thing going on where it either clicks with you or not, so age is not the object, it's like a zone in your brain or something...LOL I dunno, it is just so wonderful in it's weirdness! I saw an article online where someone said they wished they were a kid again so they could watch adventure time them grow up with that show as part of their childhood to see what it inspires them to do. Deep stuff for 12 minutes per show!
