Valuable lesson learned - when posting things on ebay, dont' just **guess** how much you think shipping will be because you will be WRONG! Little plastic action figures are HEAVY, especially when they are still in their original packaging and then need to be placed in a large cardboard box.

Didn't lose too much money on this, but definitely ended up paying more than I charged people. Need to take a stack of stuff to the post office and weigh it so I can give a better estimate next time, especially if I want to sell any LEGO kits, those things weigh a TON!

Yeah, I am going to take a pile of things to the post office next week and weigh them to get an idea of how much shipping might cost. Ugh, I had one today that ended up being twice as much as I expected (it was a record! but I put so much padding in the box to keep it from getting damaged it weighed far too much).

I did that with my first Etsy sale, I didn't realize how much the Canadian postal system sucked and the cost wiped out any profit margin I had and then some.

I've not found our system too slow - unless anything gets held at the border. That's where most of the slowness seems to happen and it's really annoying. But up here it's expensive. I have spent less shipping to a tiny town in the middle of England than I've spent shipping something two provinces over to a major city.
