Well, I had grand plans to post an about-me for all my new friends, but then I decided to read my f-list and catch up on comments and now I'm about ready to fall asleep!!!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July (especially those that might have been tempted to play with fireworks today).

We just relaxed and I made Sylvia watch Star Wars. It's what I do. Had to prep for the Phineas and Ferb special, that was my excuse for making her watch it (though I made the mistake of showing her Spaceballs first so she was unable to take the real movie seriously...oh well. How was I supposed to know she hadn't seen it?? What kind of parent lets their kid get to be 12 without seeing Star Wars??).

Oh, here is the Phineas and Ferb trailer for your viewing pleasure. This show is <3

Real post tomorrow...maybe...

GOODNIGHT!

I'm way past 12 and still haven't seen "Star Wars." :)

Seriously--that's bordering on criminal neglect! Glad you were able to intervene. One can only hope the damage done isn't lasting.

My parents weren't really Star Wars fans (I KNOW), so I didn't see any Star Wars movies until I was around 20. Tragic, I know.

I was raise by geeks so it's hard for me to even fathom NOT showing your kids all the geeky things. :)

I just made my 32 year old friend watch Star Wars and she had ALSO seen Spaceballs first.

I didn't really discover Star Wars until after Episode I came out (I know, I know...). I guess I was about 13 when I watched the original trilogy for the first time (by way of Episode I - which I originally only watched because of Ewan McGregor, haha!).

The only reason to watch the prequels IS Ewan McGregor. <3

Believe it or not, I spoiled Star Wars for a 30-year-old man (sort of, more like an overgrown 12-year-old) one day a few years ago. It blew my mind that that could even still happen!

I can believe it. I've had many parents at the library who are clueless about a galaxy far far away. Luckily, I can communicate with their very excited children when I show them the giant stash of Star Wars books we have. There is hope!!!

Help them, [personal profile] orangerful. You're their only hope!
