I feel like I haven't posted in ages but I just looked at my journal and realized I was posting pretty regularly this week...it was just all Weird Al videos LOL. I did get my copy of Mandatory Fun in the mail this week. (if you think you might want it, Amazon has the mp3 album for $6 right now). Anyway, I like the album a lot and I'm really hoping that Al gets to #1 on the charts because he deserves it after all these years.

This week was exhausting. Shit going down at work that I'm not even going to talk about because it just makes me angry to think about it. I did have fun on Monday though! My friend and I took off together. The original plan was to go to DC to see a play, but the temp was almost 100 out and thunderstorms were in the forecast so we decided to just go kayaking at the part about 20 minutes away, which was super fun. I hadn't been on a kayak in years. I'd totally do it again though. Except this time I would apply MORE sunscreen.

Tomorrow, my gang and I will go on a big adventure - a zip line canopy tour of Harper's Ferry! Last year we had been talking about bucket list kind of things and Carol mentioned she'd always wanted to go zip lining. I found this place on Living Social and decided we had to do it! It's a 3 hour tour of the canopy, a combination of bridges and zip lines. It's going to be scary but fun. I mean, it says 5 year old can do this! I'm braver than a 5 year old right?? Plus, with the "polar vortex" spinning nearby us the weather is just gorgeous! We were so worried we would melt in the July heat but it looks like we might need to wear jeans now.

Just watched this new Sims 4 Gameplay walkthrough and I am so excited about this game, even if it just looks like a prettier version of Sims 3...still, this walkthrough was oddly hilarious. You don't have to watch the whole thing, just the last bit when they start to throw the party because the "finale" of the video made me LOL.

...man now I want to play some Sims...ttyl

Cool on the kayaking! Did you do individual kayaks or two-seaters? Cindy and I kayaked with Murk awhile back - we should do it again.

I hadn't been on the water in awhile so I made Murk get a two seater but I'd totally be find next time going solo. It was so fun. Tim has never been kayaking, though he says he has been in a canoe so now I feel like we HAVE to go to make him kayak. LOL.

I will tell you all about the zip lining...IF WE SURVIVE!

Been watching a lot of the Weird Al vids with Mike. It's funny because Mike makes me play the original vids first. Neither of us are very up with current music. Like I'm aware of songs like "Royals" and Blurred Lines" but I'd never heard them all the way through. Mike wasn't aware of them at all.

I'm not sure I could do the ziplining thing, but it sounds fun! Hope you have a wonderful time!

I know a lot more songs as parodies than I do as the "real" song. And even if I knew the song, his parodies tend to overshadow them for me really quick. The polkas are the best because when I start to sing along on the radio I end up hearing the accordian in my head LOL

Thanks. Luckily, my co-workers are awesome and we are all unhappy with the decisions coming down from on high, but at least we are all working together to get through it. I know I am so very lucky to work with such an amazing bunch of people.

Oh god that sunburn looks painful. I've been wanting to go kayaking lately, but don't really have the resources for now. SOMEDAY.

SIMS 4. I'm so bummed because my Sims 3 has stopped working and SOMEHOW ISN'T APPEARING IN MY LIST OF INSTALLED PROGRAMS so I can't even uninstall it from my computer to REINSTALL IT? Having to look up how to do that manually for the game AND all the expansions is kind of terrifying.

EEK OH NO! I'm not even sure **how** to troubleshoot something like that. If you try to just reinstall it, does it yell at you?

And UGH IDK what to do. It's not "detected" by my computer, but I bought the games through Origin and ORIGIN knows they're on my computer so whenever I hit "uninstall" it just re-directs me to my control panel WHERE THE GAME ISN'T. Lol it's pretty terribad, it'll take some figuring out.
