New American Horror Story: Freak Show trailers are up (for reals this time!) and OMG they are just as creepy as you would hope for.

Seriously though, creepy clown with sharp pointy teeth...you have been warned!

I hope this season is as good as last season. In the sense that it gives me nightmares and I can only watch when the sun is up because I'm too scared to watch in the dark. That's a good season of AHS.

I'm not gonna watch the trailer because I am weird and like to ignore things until they start and then get obsessed with them but OMG AHS LAST SEASON WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING I LOVED IT SO MUCH.

There's no actual show footage in the teasers, just Freak Show performers. I sorta love that they don't show the Show.

And I'm so happy that Evan Peters is in this season. <3 <3

Where's my Joker icon when I need it? Also--dang, it didn't even occur to me to put a trigger warning on mine. Yipes! Will fix now...

Also-also--having binge-watched every single AHS "teaser" for the last four seasons, I've come to the conclusion that the quality of the trailer is in direct inverse proportion to the quality of the actual show.

Murder House = boring teasers. Pretty damn awesome show.

Asylum = amazing teasers. Extremely boring and borderline shark-jumping show. (Aliens? A musical number? WHY?)

Coven = Passable/fairly creepy but repetitive teasers. Passable and better than previous year show.

So far, I'm only halfway impressed by the Freakshow teasers. I'm hoping that bodes well for the upcoming season.

Asylum was just bizarre--it was like having an out-of-genre experience in every scene. Not that genre-blending can't work when done right, it just felt like they had too many ideas and couldn't fully commit to any of them. Like, any one of the multiple plot threads, if they'd decided to just stick there, would have worked. Asylum in which patients are fed to the beasties on the woods--great idea. Asylum in which the nurses/nuns are possessed by demons--great idea. Asylum in which the staff is evil and controlling and conspiring against everyone always--great idea. Asylum in which aliens . . . well, no, that was just stupid all around.

But otherwise, any one of those things is a cool premise by itself. Dropping them all together, not so much.

YES! It's like they had no confidence in their main plot that season and kept trying to think of something better...and then would just randomly throw it into the mix. Such a mess. And, of course, that was the season I tried to get Tim to watch and now he doesn't trust me and AHS anymore LOL. One of my solo shows.

Heh--reminds me of the time me and my brother tried to get Mom to watch "South Park," and it turned out to be one of the WORST possible episodes to drop in on. (They have a lot of those, but this one was particularly out there in terms of offensiveness.)

OMG I WAS JUST THINKING THE SAME THING!!! I feel like it JUST ended, so I know we've got some time. But GAH! I miss it so much!!!!
