I'm always happy about free coffee. The only reason I like football is because DD gives away free coffee anytime the local team wins. Free coffee == the best.
I did notice a lack of DD when we were in SanFran...but they are about every 10 feet here in Maryland (seriously, I drive by 3 on my way to work...and I work 20 miles from where I live).
I'm sure there must be a nice little coffee shop in CA that is also celebrating Free Coffee Day, maybe you can still finagle a free drink and perhaps a decent donut. ;-)
